WISDOM FOR MINISTRY
Meditation on what is written and has been revealed is a necessary requirement for branding the conviction of faith (and of your calling) upon your heart.
Every time you are looking for what God is currently saying about your assignment, your first reference should be what has God said, (The written word and previous prophetic words). It will guide you in discerning what He is saying at the moment.
Consecration in ministry is not only about not committing sin. It is also about staying faithful to the dictates of your commissioning. Staying faithful to how God wants it done rather than subscribing to existing templates that has worked for other people.
One of the best questions that children of God can ask him in the place of intimacy as touching instructions, revelations and vision concerning the assignment is, "Lord, what do you mean by that." Assuming on the meaning of divine revelation has led to many errrors in ministry.
You don't have a perfect template for your ministry in any man even though you will have examples of what God is saying to you in men. Hence the necessity to follow and learn from men but much more compulsory is looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of your calling to show you how to do what he has called you to do in a way that will give him full pleasure.
Jesus is the true north and men are the guiding light that shows us where the true north is. The true north is the origin that determines the orientation of our journey in life but we need the guiding light to show is the true North.
Which of these stood out for you the most?
